good amp for mj 18"?

well my friend who knows absolutely nothing about car audio said he was upgrading his system to an 18" and is going to keep his 1000watt sony amp. he said he was going to spend like 200 or more for the sub.

I am going to show him tomarrow the mach 5 audio MJ18". it is $116 and i figure he should use the rest of his money to get a new amp... something that will truely put out about 500-600rms @ 4ohm. i wish it wasnt single 4 ohm cuz he only wants one.

do you guys no some pretty cheap amps probably under $250 that will do 600x1@4ohm?
