i currently have a delco 800 cold cranking amp battery. i don't know how old it is, but it doesn't look to old. would it be worth upgrading to this battery http://remybattery.com/350/shopexd.asp?id=5440&catid=341&cat=Automotive&subcat=470&L2=&L3= what benifits would i gain by upgrading a battery under the hood? i have a 250 amp alt., big 3 in 1/0 gauge wire, orion 2500D and viper 550.6, and optima yellowtop D31 in the trunk.

I never keep a battery after 2 years.. Period.. and since I went with Red Tops I get a new one every year..

Why dont you have pep boys run a quick test on your battery, see if its still up to par..

that thread was about second batteries, not under the hood batterys. i'm just trying to see what better batteries will do in my system. also what does AH mean?
