any body have any experience with the SoundStream Exact 8's? and have any feedback on the performance relative to any others?

I'm looking for a pair of 8's. I've also found a pair of morel 8's.

I'm looking to put them in separate enclosures with about .32 cubic feet... oddly, the Soundstreams list .5 cubic feet for sealed and .5 cubic feet for ported... maybe they upped the sealed figure to improve SQ?

also found focal has an 8' but it'll run my $100 each in their polycone line.

what is your price you want to spend? most people here love the re 8's and the jl w7 8's if you can afford them. the re 8's are only $50 each though.

I'm currently running an Infinity Perfect 10" which is generally quite a bit more SPL than i need, but i don't want to sacrifice much...and i'm trying not to take up much more space... current bosx is about .6 cubic feet. What i really wanted was the E8a's but they're no longer making them as far as i can tell.

If the JLw7 really puts out that much then it might serve me fine as a single rather than a pair of 8's.

And generally i consider my self an SQ nut rather than an SPL guy... currently looking to team the subs with an CDT HD-642 or CL-641 3-way set.

I'm pretty sure my amp has 75x2 at 4ohms and 150x2 at 2 ohms. My amp is also only 2 ohm stable.

Supa C, maybe if you spent more money on a better ride your wouldn't need 2 15's to add coolness to your mommas suburban. ... if your just teasing me... sorry, i took you seriously, my bad.

Btnhfan, if the jlw7's are twice as loud as most other 8's i'm looking at then it would be worth it just for simplicity's sake... though i'm not sure if my amp is up to the task of a 1.5 ohm load after bridging it. It's a RF 600a.4

my mom dosent drive it. she has 2 infinity references in another car, she likes them alot.

i was just messin, some people dont like alot of bass, thats cool.
