Not at all. However, I do believe the original comparison was mono or mosfet. Therefore, the idea of a monaural amplifier utilizing mosfet circuitry would be automatically excluded by the nature of the comparison, therefore my response couldn't apply to such a topology and remain within the parameters of the question, could it?

Might be an old thread but I do agree with you. Like another user pointed out, most boxes say MOSFET and some Mono. A possibly genuine newbie wanted to know before jumping into the hobby with both feet. Instead of help he got ridiculed for his trouble. Probably quit before even starting.
