mixing wire and the squeaking noise that has the audio man stumped...

i had a pr 12" in a box with a aero port and from where i had a lil extra slack wire from wire the sub down the wire would smack against the motor and made it sound blown and other wierd noises too. maybe a possibility. anything could be the problem. they they mentioned b4 just take it out and free air it. dont matter how loud u "free air it" as long as u dont turn it up to where the coil is slappin. then u be having problem

Pics of install?

Pics of box?

30screws in the baffle could actually be the problem. If you put the screws too close to the edge of the MDF (less than about 3"), you may have split the wood.

ok, free air test today. I've been told it could be the wires slappin around. But it would be hard to connect them without the long wire because of the depth of the sub...

I might just super glue them to a part of the box to see if that works.

free air test today, videos today, and getting more responses to my crappy *** sound system.

Right now, I honestly think that is what it is...

Did you just trim the wire or did you glue it to your box?

The audio guy that said "this is not a woofer problem" said this about the wire.

ok.

Anyway...

Took the sub out... free - aired it. It sounded fine... Didn't free air it at a loud volume, but just enough to where it was making the noise at the volume in the box. I replaced the wire with 12 gauge stinger wire. It was working perfectly for about 4 hours. Tonight it started back up again....

I'm convinced it is the wire though... but I don't know what to do from here. It still makes that noise and its actual car audio wire. I might glue the wire to the motor or the box now..
