mixing battery groups

the ideal would be to use the same size and type
the engineers at johnson controls i used to work with had the same answer. You need the same batts down to lot number if you truly want the batts connected together to act as one. That would give you the longest life of the entire set otherwise put in a big relay to separate them when they are off of charging.
