Mixed Ohm subs

Ok I have 2 10" Pioneer IB Flat shallow mount, and 1 Alpine Type R full size running off a 2000w mono block amp. The Pioneer's are 4 ohm the Alpine is 4/2 ohm. Right now I have them wired at 4+4+4= 1.5 ohm. My question is would it be better to continue running this setup or switch the Alpine to 2 ohm so I would have 1 ohm at the amp? Would there be a noticeable difference between 1.5 ohm and 1 ohm at the amp?

Right now you are at 1.33 ohms. If you wire the alpine to 2 ohm the power would be divided 1000 watts to the alpine and 1000 watts to pair of pioneers. Whether the amp is actually 2000 watts is another variable. Mixing subs/sizes/impedences normally has a negative affect on performance opposed to actually gaining much. Especially in a shared enclosure.
