I'm more partial to the early 50s mobster cars. Lead Sled FTMFWVery nice car!
My grandfather has a 56 Crown Victoria glass top car and some Tbirds..not a huge fan of those though.
I really like the old mobsters cars from back in the 30's
nice, so you offered him half of what he wanted and lifetime supply of quiznos?j00 got pics +1 j00 cant post em right -2
First of all, the 440 wasn't a hemi.well your certainly not beating a chevy with a 440 hemi...cuz that didn't come from the factory...factory vs. factory the ZL1 corvette made 670hp and weighed about 3100 pounds, was rated at 430hp...with slicks the car would do 10.9 @ 130+ mph...so no...in the late 60's early 70's you couldn't beat a chevy if it was a ZL1
Truf. Hemi's just got more in 'em from the factory.First of all, the 440 wasn't a hemi.
Second, if you wanna talk "stock" to "stock", the 426 hemi lightweight barracudas and darts (the ones with fiberglass front ends) will walk all over the ZL1 camaro, as proven in the link that nick posted.
Now I LOVE the ZL1 camaro just because it's a beastly all aluminum 427 and I'm a diehard chevy guy, but that dart is a MEAN sombitch and there's nothing that could touch it from the factory.
What was the car's name? Emily?stop quoting the ****in pictures
nice car, reminds me of gone in 60 seconds
Eleanor. What was the car's name? Emily?
Anybody know the going rate of a frame off restoration? I saw an Aerocoupe that caught my eye.
that test is retarded...they have the exact same cars, running not even .8 within each other....explain why BBF's are so rare now? and the BBC has been kickin *** and taken names for 50 years? there was only 2 zl1 corvettes ever made, and one is owned by chevrolet, so i doubt they actually tested the car...and dodge never made a 440 hemi, so no you are wrongExplain why a vast majority in 1969 was running the cobra jet cars at the drag strip then? Versus the 427/and/or 454 Camaro?
They also came out with the 'drag pack option' which consisted of oil coolers, and 4.30 gears with the 4 speed for gear jammers....

10.9 on a bone stock car? (minus slicks of course) in 1969-1970 on pump gas?
Interesting....

Looks like we're looking at 11.80 @ 122mph
Regardless still faster than the mustang on that graph..
But at the top we have...what's that? A **** Plymouth...then a Dodge?
Well I'll be, I was right!
