Mid/tweeter placement?

So right now, my tweeters are in the stock positions for my car which is the A-pillars, and the mids are in the doors.

Im redoing this soon. I want another pair of mids/tweets. Havent decided on what mids or tweets yet, but thats another story.

If I were to fiberglass my kick panels for a 6.5" mid, would it sound good if I put the tweeter in the kick panel as well? I know this is okay with 1 set of comps, sometimes its actually better.. but would it be okay to have a mid & tweeter in my kick as well as a mid in each door and a tweet in each a-pillar?

Sorry if thats confusing.. if this is a definite no no, I would have to fiberglass my a-pillars for another set of tweets. Then I would have a mid in my doors, a mid in each kick, and a pair of tweets in each a-pillar.

What would sound the best? Im going after super loud & clear. The polks aren't doing it..

Well, just so you know, adding more speakers can sometimes give u funky cancellation issues and you still may not get much louder if any. But then again u might....I did when I ran 2 sets up front.

Anywhooooo...u can run the mid and tweet in kicks, but its kind of crazy getting the aiming right for tweets in kicks because there's so much crap to reflect and block the sound including your own leg. Me, personally, I'd put the tweeter in the pillars using some nice spheres and just play around with aiming on them.

Too, if youre just after "super loud and clear", have you considered running rears? I mean if youre not after any staging or imaging, rears are great for some extra volume....just a thought

I think you should look into getting one set of really kick *** 2way comps up front and ditch that of idea of adding another set in your kicks, but thats me. I think you would introduce a lot of probems with your clarity, but it would get loud. Concentrate on your install with your 2way and try to get the most out of them first. Look into getting everything on axis to youself, mids and tweets, and see if that helps. You can make some really cheap spheres for your tweets without glassing at all. You could also do those kicks with a really good coaxial two way and get that single point source from one driver.

coax kicks are just as hard if not harder to implement properly than running a set of comps in kicks IMO

I do agree with the princ3cmo, if overall loudness is what your after, try the rears. I know those spheres in the A-pillars or on the dash would help in your case and do cost very little to fabricate.

If your running speakers from a passive crossover then it would be better for the tweeter and mid to be as close as possible to one another because the crossovers are designed with that in mind. The best thing for you to do is just experiment with tweeter placement before doing any fabrication. Some people enjoy fiberglassing but Ive always thought it was a pain in the ***, so I would only want to do a project like that if the benefits would make the effort a worthwhile investment. If you use multiple woofers in different locations, but most of all, different enclosures (door and kick enclosure) its going to be impossible to get the same response from the same woofer. Not to mention using mulitple tweeters firing at you from different distances/locations. All together a bad idea.

It is fine if you bandpass the doors as midbass and run the kicks as midrange. You want to minimize overlap of speakers in different locations. Run only one pair of tweeters, location is determine switch testing.

One front comp set can do all you want and get plenty loud. The trick is proper installation and proper power.

What spheres is everyone talking about? Could someone give me a model number or a link please?

As for power.. theyre on a Kenwood 4 channel amp that is bridged right now. 120W rms.. but I have plans to get rid of it eventually and get a SAZ100.4
