Mid-bass Speakers Choice and Bass Blocker Questions

Two questions...

-Looking at some 6.5 midrange speakers. I've been pretty close to deciding on IDs CX64 V.2 but I wanted to check with everyone on the best choices. Unfortunately I can't upgrade to components like I wanted since the 6.5s I'm replacing only get mid-bass signal. For the price and review I thought the IDs were the best choice. Anyone have anything else? I'll be running them off my amp at about 150wx2.

-I will be replacing my 3.5s as well. Should I install some bass blockers to the new 3.5s to help delete any distortion that turning things up might cause?

What kind of vehicle do you have, what equipment are you working with, what is being staying stock vs. being upgraded, what is your source unit, and what amplifiers or processors are involved. Answering these questions might help anyone responding to this thread to give you good advie.
