Mid-bass, overkill?

Im changing my mid/bass and subs.. I lisnt to punk/rawk/sublime and some top 40 dance stuff...

My fronts dont hit all the mids properly (to me anyway) infinity kappa 5 1/4 running 100x4 to each.

Im looking at removing the rears and placing in 8" mids (morels or koda's),

which would be better with this style of music and for this functio ???? and cross over point that will work for my fronts and the subs, amp will be bought to suit the speakers.

Also changing my 2 10's out to probably 12;s so there is still a tight sound with some punch.. but a bit deeper ......so the midbass is probably needed

is this overkill for a mid size/sport car..

For the best SQ, you'll want the midbass in front of you...possibly in the kicks, or doors.

To the original question though, that is not overkill for that size car...if you complete it correctly it will sound awesome. Also though, switching subwoofer sizes will not change the "punchyness" of the sound, the driver quality does that, not size.

So for a SQ style...and the style of music which brand would be a best choice...i can't hear either i live in a small northen city and would have to order them...

And 12 sub for this style music lookn at XXX or brahma.. dont want to have to re-work my eletical

A single XXX or Barhma 15'' ported or sealed will give amazing results

last question .. thanks for all the help...

For the mid/bass (have to find a way to place it up front now) but what would be a good choice for the model (eithe morel or Koda) or is a flip of the coin for the function it will be used for... and average xover points for the mid bass never had to use them before..
