metalhead needs a ported box design for a 12" Pioneer TS-W3003D4

You said it needs voltage. It does not.
What needs voltage?

I'm trying to explain to you why impedance varies but you cannot follow.

Voltage/amperage is induced In the coil when it's moved in a magnetic field.

You said if you touch the driver is will change impedance but I clearly explained how a transmission lines worked.

I'm not arguing with you I'm explaining how this stuff works. There is no arguing..

Whatever you say. You can take up your argument with one of the leaders of this industry.
So the woofer doesn't move? Holy ****.

I know not very many people understand ported enclosures but the port acts like a diaphragm except it has the mass of air and uses that air as a diaphragm just like a speaker uses a cold as a diaphragm to move air.

Hooked it all up. Not much output. Sub is wired parallel. My two Infinity Ref 860W in a sealed box had much more output. Same amp on those. Sub output on deck is maxed at +15. Bass at +2. Gain on amp set at almost 3/4. Lowpass at 80hz. Subsonic filter turned on, its preset at 20hz, not adjustable. Sub is about 8" away from the back. The whole back seat folded down.

Lol... sorry to ask... are you sure its at 2 ohm... not 8?

and thats what happens when you listen to these numbnuts that dont even listen to metal telling you to tune low. just lmaooo. Metal heads need to listen to other metal heads brah

their graphs and talks on paper is completely useless compared to actual real world performance and preferences. Every metal head I've known prefers 38-40hz tuning by far in trucks, trunk or hatches/suvs and there's quite a few metal bassheads around me.

Either that or do a 1/4 wave transmission line which is also impeccable for metal music as well with a sub with the FS around 28-33hz

22 wide 14 high 14 deep

2x 3 inch pieces of pvc cut to 15 1/2 inches long for ports

2 pieces of 1 1/4 inch dowels for bracing

That gives you 1.6cf at 38hz.

Go 14 1/2 deep if you flush mount the pvc pipe

^This is what I built external dimensions. In torres I get 1.69 net with a 34.84 tuning. Sub displacement is .095. I guess the dowel bracing and 45's brings it to 1.6 @ 38hz?

flip the box to where the port fires to the rear about 4 inches away from the rear trunk/hatch

Sorry man can't check... not at home at moment... sounds ok tho... 38hz tune huh?.. ought to be punchy as h*ll... idk

nope I checked the numbers, at max he's at 36 hz accounting for A LOT of dowel bracing displacement but more likely around 35.5 Torres's actual tuning is always higher than actual tuning so more likely around 34hz or so.
He added 45's and dowels I think... 4" 45's... thats some displacement... idk man... is it more than tune?.. I stepped back early

Thats .23 of additional displacement... wow
