metalhead needs a ported box design for a 12" Pioneer TS-W3003D4

dowel is 1 1/4". One is 13" long and the other is 12.5"
45's in all 4 corners, 4" wide
then you are struggling for some airspace there buddy. definitely around 1.4 cubes . Would have been better without the 45s in the corners at all. its just a tiny little 12, you literally didn't need any bracing at all. But have you tried flipping the box around to make sure the port is close and pointed at a solid loading wall yet?

Box sits like this. Was further back but moved it closer to the back. The walls of the trunk are over a foot away from the box unless the box sits between the wheel wells. Not much air velocity from the ports either

I can try removing the 45's and bracing but doubt it does anything. This should be slamming even if i was fighting for .2 net of air.

the way the sub fires is not important, you need to fire the port to the rear trunk or else its useless. All about where the port fires, it needs to hit a solid wall, play around with the positioning.

Round is more efficient... idk why you are married to the idea of subs/port on the same face... you got plenty of space to play with... 1.6 tuned to 35-6hz... im out... too many cooks will burn the soup!
Can I quote myself?.. I stepped back for a reason... invert the sub or lose the 45's... might help

Man what a beoch. Had to jigsaw the top off and use a claw end of a hammer to pry the 45's out. Used a paint scraper to get most of the glue and Alex smoothed out where the 45's were.

1.69 net with no 45's and no bracing. If I stick those two 3" 15.5 ports back in there according to torres its a 34.84 tuning. Someone said its about 2hz low so roughly 36.

Use the same ports?

It's not the tune.. let the woofer break in.

Sub back port firing the side.

Tuning up will increase output but will also increase GD and limit bandwidth.

It's better to use the enclosure to control the driver tuning low then using the port and getting a huge phase shift above and below tuning.

Highest I'd tune is 36

Where are the aram enters for the woofer?

They're on the website... I think... lol... its been awhile since I looked

Id tune to 35hz ... but thats me...

Cant check anything on the phone... d*mn apps!

Cut a new side piece to the box for the ports. I cut the holes a little big last time. The ports are further back also since no 45's are back there. 1.5" from back wall and 2" from top and bottom.

i'd move the ports to the same plane as the sub in all honesty. both port and sub fire back. IDK why you chose side port. If its too long, shorten the port or make it stick out.

Not deep enough and would change how much port is inside then would gain airspace.
