Mercury Spill at my school...

Test results from the Science Building have documented that a small amount of mercury has escaped containment and warrants remediation. The spill is less than one pound, which is below “R.Q.” (minimum amount of spill to require a Reported Quantity report to the EPA). Nevertheless, the third floor of the Science Building will be closed temporarily. Concord University has contracted a professional hazardous materials firm to remediate the area.
The Academic Dean’s office will reassign affected classes while remediation efforts take place.

I ask for your cooperation and assistance as we proceed to conduct the business of Concord in as normal a fashion as possible.

last year there was a spill at my old high school, they originally had an accidental spill and school was cancelled, then some dumbshits thought it would be a good idea to break these old thermometers to get school called off, needless to say the school pressed charges and these kids owe like $25,000 or some shit, kids were stuck there till like 5 or 6 at night, everyones shoes were checked, some taken....turned into this huge deal

Actually, elemental mercury is not poisonous to humans. It is not bio-available to our systems.

You could literally swallow elemental mercury and see little to no effect.

BUT, organic-mercury compounds can be HIGHLY poisonous.
