Mercedes Sprinter Sound 5 cd player

Hello I have a mercedes sprinter and want to take the sound 5 cd player out. I have a mp3 player and someone said that there is an input at the back of the player that would play my mp3 player.

I have tried everything but cannot get the player out at all! Please can someone tell me what I am doing wrong.
