Melted Fuse

I just grabbed a crunch PZN2250 from a guy and he told me that it melted one of the fuse which it runs off 2 40 amp fuses. Where the fuse sits in is melted but the metal lookes fine and the other fuse is fine. Pulled the back piece off and looked around and nothing is melted or burnt inside. He siad that after the fuses melted the power light was still on and it hadnt gone into protect. Any insight on this. Imma try to power it up tonight and see what happens. Should i expect it not to work.

it appears to be on fire in the picture.

but on a serious note. did the guy have it fused before the amp? that's the only thing i could think of that would cause something like that.

If it will still run the for what i paid for it it was a great investment = )
