MDF rings

Here is what I use.........

1/4" baffle and 1/2" rings on 6.5 and smaller.

1/2" baffle and 1/2" rings on 8 and low end 10's.

3/4" baffles and 3/4" rings on high end 10's and all other sizes up.

so 3/4 mdf is TOO thick for regualr 6.5 speakers?? i should go with 1/2 inch??

or are those numbers for a different type of install?

i thought the 3/4 mdf was the norm ??

my speakers arrived yesterdayI NEED .75 MDF RINGS !

PM ME PLEASE with some assistsnce you slimy toads

Go to the local Ace Hardware and buy a 3/4" hole saw for the inside cut and a 1.25" hole saw for the outside cut. Its that easy dude.

I think he wants then to be 3/4" thick, not a 3/4" hole. Maybe.

Helps if you post up deminsions. Like the cutout, the outside diameter and what sub. I recently did a set for someone on here.

No no no. Thats not what I am saying. But with the 1/4" glued and stapled/nailed to the 1/2" ring, it doesn't flex, therefor I don't usually use thicker material. Thats me. Unless it is specifically asked for, thats what I do.
