Here is what I use.........
1/4" baffle and 1/2" rings on 6.5 and smaller.
1/2" baffle and 1/2" rings on 8 and low end 10's.
3/4" baffles and 3/4" rings on high end 10's and all other sizes up.
Go to the local Ace Hardware and buy a 3/4" hole saw for the inside cut and a 1.25" hole saw for the outside cut. Its that easy dude.my speakers arrived yesterdayI NEED .75 MDF RINGS !

so 3/4 mdf is TOO thick for regualr 6.5 speakers?? i should go with 1/2 inch??
or are those numbers for a different type of install?
i thought the 3/4 mdf was the norm ??
