MB Quart Q Series vs. Soundtream RUB series Amps

Alright so I have narrowed down my choices for the amps for my new system; keep in mind I have an OCD with matching make/model amps for both mainstage and substage amps. PLEASE VOTE IN POLL AND EXPLAIN WHY //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I have a tight budget and keeping it around $450 for both amps is ideal.

I need an amp that will power 4 Massive Audio CK6 V's @ 4ohms, and a mono amp to power 2 Sundown SA-12's @ 1ohm...

Choices:

1)

-MB Quart Q4.150, for Comps

-MB Quart Q1.1500D, for Substage.

2)

-Soundstream RUB4.600, for comps

-Soundstream RUB1.1600D, for Subtage

3)

I thought u were going with the jbl. At any rate, I would pick the quarts over the soundstream, I have had my quart for several years and it has been very good with no problems whatsoever. Besides they look better than the rubies.

I was going to, but I am going to get the D4 version of the sub so I can now wire to 1ohm. The JBL was not 1 ohm stable and I was not a fan of their 4chan amp after some research.

I'll probably get either one of these choices, though.

The board on the soundstream rubicons look cheap compared to some of their better stuff. Those q series quarts are very nice amps and they have good crossovers in them. I would say the quart is a better amp. I would compare those rubicons to oneof quarts lower lines.

The Q series Quarts will make you smile. Very nice crossover section in the 4.150 and the 1500.1d is underrated.

I believe the SS has the same kind of xover also. Bandpass on ch.3&4
