Matching 4ch and 1ch AMPS

Like the title states, I'm looking for a 4ch amp for my front and rear comps and a mono amp for my subs.

I have:

-Two pairs of Massive Audio CK6 V5 6.5 comps, 4 ohms, 125w power handling ea.

-Two Sundown SA-12s, wired together for a 2ohm load.

So I need a 4ch amp that will do around 100w x4 @ 4ohms, and a mono amp that will do 1500-1200w rms @ 2ohms.

--------

All of my equipment consist of different audio brands, etc, as most peoples are. HOWEVER, I have a huge OCD that my amps have to be made by the same manufacturer and the same model series. I don't know why.

Considering this, for the best bang for the buck, and knowing it's hard to find mono 2 ohm power, these are the only amps I've seen that match my criteria that are the same model:

WoofersEtc.com - GTO1004 - JBL 600-Watt 4-Channel Grand Touring Series Full-Range Amplifier

WoofersEtc.com - GTO14001 - JBL 1500-Watt Grand Touring Series Monoblock Subwoofer Amplifier

Those two are the same series, and they fit the power requirements, and I can get them for 100 dollars cheaper for each amp elsewhere. The only downside is that they are huge amps.

Any other options out there that I'm not aware of???

Thanks!

vipervenom, I agree with you 100%. I am the same way. I have a Digital Designs (black) M2A and C4b in my truck and a M1A and C4 (black) in my Z. I used JBL last year for a bit the JBL GTO 504 and GTO 14001 and I will tell you that they are excellent amps. The GTO 14001 was rated at 1500 watts @ 2 ohms and 1200 watts @ 4 ohms and the amp never got hot. Excellent amps. They are not well advertised but they are stellar performers and you will not be dissappointed.

You can get those amps much cheaper off of EBAY for sure. Do not get them from woofersetc.com. You will spend more money than you need to.

At least I'm not alone, haha. Yeah my friend told me that those JBL amps are way nice, and he doesn't know why more people don't buy them, especially considering they are a name brand product for low cost and good quality. I'm 99 percent sure I'm going to get these but I have been out of the loop for a long time and am not sure what else is even out there...

Also, I did notice I can get these amps for way cheaper elsewhere, but if woofersetc price matches (which they have done for me 4 times in the past) then I'd like to go that route. But that will be up to woofersetc. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The mb quart q series amps has both a 1500 w mono amp and a 4 channel amp that will fill your needs. The q series are great amps and **** looking to boot.
I do like those amps, however their mono amp does not supply enough power at 2 ohms for my subwoofers, which is what I'd need. Thanks for he rec. though!

my crescendo 1000c4 and pic up a crescendo mono
I've never heard of this company. Do they have any reputation? How long have they been in business?

AQ2200d @2 and an AQ4x90 like i used to run lol
What's the "lol" for? Haha any sarcasm in this post?

But anyways it seems I can get the JBLs for half the price for each amp, unless you can get those AQ's elsewhere. Are they better quality?

Also, if there are any comparable Amps to those JBLs for the price I'm all ears, because I just took some measurements where I'm going to be installing my amps and I'm not sure both of those will fit. They ear 20inches long, EACH! I Only have 1 each wiggle-room after that install if I go with those JBLs, which I know is not enough for wiring, etc...

Dang it...

I'm still trying to find out if there are smaller amps out there... lol. But I think I'll just have to figure it all out. You'd think for an SUV there would be plenty of spaces to put amps but I'm trying to not make them stand out.

Here is a pic of a rear hatch of the model of my SUV, as you can see there are rear flaps that lean up against the rear seats. Those are what I want to mount the amps to (not the rear seats themselves.) This is so when the rear seats fold down the flaps fold down with them and I won't have to have a lot of slack for wiring. But the two JBL amps BARELY would fit within the width of the car only leaving 1inch of space overall, which I know is not enough for wiring...

Any other thoughts? I don't want to mount the amps to the subwoofer enclosure because when I go camping and take the subs out for space I want my amps still hooked up.

The Crescendo amps listed above are always pretty solid, people always have something good to say about them, and they are actually stable to .5ohm I believe too, so you could run at .5 or 2ohm if you have the electrical.

And the Audioque amps have always received good feedback as well, and are pretty well known for having a tiny foot print, so you might wanna check those out. You can usually find a good deal used too.

Thanks for the feedback. Considering the Crescendo amps have an even larger footprint than he JBLs I'm not sure about that. The AQ mono amps don't seem to supply the power I need at 2ohms for the $ but I'll see what's around.
