MB Quart Amps

hifonics is good bang for the buck guarenteed. and they look nice. i on the otherhand have had the older 1500 watt brutus and 1200 watt brutus go in smoke. yet when i ran my atomic 5000.1 at a lower impedance, my american bass at lower impedance, and now my db drive amplifiers in combination at lower impedances...never had an issue. they are good daily amplifiers. but i wouldnt recommend them for a big groundpounder where you push it hard everyday.
I'm just looking to get good sound for everyday driving. I don't need to wake up the neighbors. I don't want to have to change out my alternator. Just 2 4ohm Dual Coil 200W RMS 8" Subs along side 4 MB Quart speakers totaling around 240W RMS. No more than 640W RMS. This is my first build so I don't want to go crazy. The only thing I really care about is getting the right amp wiring kit. I don't want to have to rewire the entire car when I upgrade after this time.

You'd be set with just the dsc480 then. But might as well get the 4125 for extra headroom. I think you'd be surprised by the output.

The only way a $500 - 300w RMS amp will sound better than a $150 - 300w RMS amp is when you tell your friends you paid too **** much and they all think you are cool. Watt for Watt they will both sound the same. Amps do not change the sound it amplifies the signal and passes it along.

Reliability of parts and customer service experience is the only difference.

ummmm no.

MB Quart are better than Boss, Power Acoustik and whatever other flea market brands there are but they won't be near the quality of Arc Audio, Helix, McIntosh, older Soundstream, older PPI Art Series, older Orion, Zapco.
You get what you pay for in the end.
just traded the mb quart raa4200 for an arc ks900.6... !holy shit, i thought the raa4200 sounded good

its obvious that you simply don't understand how amps work different topologies etc.. lets just say this higher slew rate and damping factor as well as channel separation and signal to noise and keeping noise to a minimun is crutical to how good a system sounds.. ESP as output/volume increases..

now just because one looks better on paper doesn't mean it actually is.. truth is 90% of the well designed amps that use good parts are going to sound the same or at least very similar.. but to the amps that are very well designed and use top notch parts they are clearly superior.. for example going from a MB low line to the MB top line.. your going to hear a difference.. if you know what to listen for...
