Matching JL amp

Ah need just the right amp to go with ma JL sub. I dont want to ovepower it an I certainly dont want to clip it either. The big thing is I want to find out what amp will give good power ant the longest life. What would be the best amp for a JL 12" W7? If there is a cheaper older model that aint much different I would prefer that.

JL 1000/1 is always a good choice, a lot of people on here are also fans of Sundown, check them out as well, I hear they are pretty good amps

IIRC Sundown amps don't put out max power at a 3 ohm load. Your best best is to go with a JL 1000/1v2 if you can find one for a good deal.

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6865. This amp does an underrated 850 watts rms at 4 ohms a 1000 watts at 2 ohms and 1000 watts at 1 ohm. The w7 handles 1000 watts rms and you'd be close or right on with this amp because it's underrated. I'm getting 2 myself and I know someone who can get them for much cheaper than woofersetc.com.
