little to no ouput, and the subs just hums at all volumes, tried the whole my setup in another truck and it worked fine

when you say7 you tested al in another truck you tested the HU as well in another truck or just amps and subs?

Kenwood DNX8120, I would hate to know that I blew the preouts on this high price item, although still under warranty

check the HU settings.

You have to turn on the sub preout on the kenwoods.

Its in the menu and it must be in standby mode

However to test the preouts, unhook the rcas from the amp get a DMM set to ac volts and starting with the volume at 0 turn up the volume on the unit.

It should rise slowly with the volume, at max you should be reading 1.6-2 volts

amp gains? just a thought maybe hu on other truck had lower voltage than the kenwood
