Matching an Amp to my Sub...?

Hey people,

I have a pioneer 12", 400w, 800w max, 4 ohm sub... im looking at this amp...

SSL 1FD850 FORCE CLASS D MONOBLOCK POWER AMP 850W with the following technical specs...

Max Power @ 2 ohm 850W x 1

RMS Power @ 4 ohm 500W x 1

SNR: 103dB

THD at RMS output: 0.01%

Damping Factor: 125+

Dimensions: 11-3/4"W x 3"H x 9-1/4"L

I realise the max power is 850 but this is at 2 ohm... where 4 ohm is 500 rms... is this ok?? can anyone give me any info at all? im really bad with matching them up and need to learn more... so any info will be wikkid... thanks!

hey my budget is like... no more than 250 (aussie dollars)... dont need anything really good... just want something to power my sub only... dunno exactly what dual voice coil is... but ive heard if you got 2 wires running to the sub then it is... so yer... i think so.... ive attached a pic of it... so yer dunno if it is or not //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I didn't really see anything over there on AU ebay that seemed that great....

Since I don't really know, how hard is it to buy in the States and have it shipped to you??

And btw, that sub does appear to be a Single Voice Coil 4 ohm woofer...

ohhh k... so dual voice coil is like... what you see on my picture... but on both sides or something??? im such an amatuer with this stuff ay... so if im buying a sub... what are the main things i need to look for?? and how much would shipping lus a decent sub be from allllll the way over there?
