Matching 4ch and 1ch AMPS

Man I am in the same situation.

Im going with the Massive Audio D800.4 and Massive Audio N4

D800.4 is 120 x 4

N4 is :

1 ohms: 2000 watts x 1 chan.

2 ohms: 1000 watts x 1 chan.

4 ohm: 650 watts x 1 chan.

Of course my sub is 1.5ohm 13w7 too.

Those look promising, too bad that I don't think that 1000rms watts (2ohm) will be enough for my 2 Sundown SA12s...

Soundstream Rub1.2500d and Rub4.500 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
My comps are 4ohms, so I think the Rub4.600 (100w x 4) at 4 ohms would fit the bill...

The Rub1.2500D looks like a beast with plenty of legroom at 2ohms.

This is really tempting as they have a smaller footprint that the JBLs. How are the Soundstream Rubicon amps when it comes to reliability and quality and rated power? They seem really cheap ($)

As far as i know soundstream has always made quality amps, alot of people recomend the rubies. I know the old picasso series were good.
Yeah, after doing some quick research, on DIYMA as well, seeing pictures of the guts of the RUB amps, it seems they are pretty cheaply built, especially the 4ch amp. I think it didn't even do rated power, which I NEED at least 100 watts per chan at 4ohms for these massive CK6s I got. Bummer.

So far the JBLs are still the best bet. Too bad they are so darn big!

I don't have mine hooked up yet but all the review I have read say they are ****** amps that do more than rated. Both of mine are beastly amps and look like they are quality.

Alright everybody, how about:

-MB Quart Q4.150 for Comps

-MB Quart Q1.1500D for Substage.

I read they are decent for the $, and will get the job done if I get my sundowns wired to 1 ohm. I think I just need to pull the trigger.

I don't hear a lot of good things about MB Quart amps, but maybe it's just their lower series. Massive amps are awesome. And I've been consistently hearing great things from the Soundstream Rubicons, and have often heard they're underrated. tons of people recommend them and are very happy with them. That's just what I've heard though.

If you look at the guts pics of the rubicon they are very cheap looking. idk Iv'e been running quart amps for years with no problems.
Yeah I finally saw a "guts" picture of the new Rubicon series amps from Soundstream on the DIYMA website. It wasn't pretty, to say the least... Turned me off from getting them.
