Ok, this woofer needs 1 cu.ft of air space. I went and measured inside the trunk to see what I could fit. Here are my parameters.

16" W x 13" H x 12" D= Total external volume of box

Total internal volume of these measurements is 1.03 cu. ft inside the box.

Mounting diameter = 11", is this exactly where I should cut the circle in the center of the box?

Mounting depth = 5.75, so the magnet should clear about 4.7" in the internal volume. Speaker should fit with no problems.

3/4" MDF.

Is all of this correct? I wanna make sure the woofer has a proper enclosure for best performance!

You should be fine, after displacement you're looking at .96cft. of space. If you wanna be anal you can experiment with some polyfill to get it to 1cft.As for the cutout, yes make it 11'' as recommended by ID.

Actually I figured out how to get closer to 1.0 cu. ft.

15"W x 15" H x 11.5D = Inter Volume 1.05469 cu. ft.

1.05469 -.07 speaker displacement = 0.98 cu. ft.

Sound better? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
