Making final decision on sub, Need your help

I was thinking about just buying a ported box on ebay or is that a bad idea?
I mean I think I probably could make it but I am no expert, I got all the right tools and everything though

Ok but I really dont want to spend that much for the aq sub though it looks really nice and I am sure it will be better.

But what about the kicker for 69 shipped? If I got that and built a ported box for it would it sound decent or at least better then my 250 watt sealed ma audio sub

never heard the ma but a properly built box will always sound better

but i personally would spend the money all day

it is more than worth it

a better sub is better in more ways than u know

just throw in $20 a week into a small savings account or something...id rather wait and be very pleased than buy something now and have to switch later on down the road no matter how long it would be...but as for the kicker go for it its gonna sound horrible in a prefab box and youll have a decent amount of change from the Ma but it wont be a HUGE diffrence...just my imput

its impossible to make that sub an sq sub

it simply does not have the cone control
