Well, I cant really give a full review on comp VRs because its been a while since ive had them.. but ive used 12s and 15s, and my friend has 10s in his truck right now. I'll put it this way:
When I had them in my car (which was on and off for the first couple years ive been into car audio), they were everything i wanted in a cheap subwoofer. they were loud of the recommended power, and they played clearly (very little distortion). At this point, I was mostly listening to rap music, didnt know exactly what to listen for with transient response, which is where i would assume they lack a bit.. but I do know that I played a lot of country and harder rock as well and they still added plenty of depth to my music, and sounded a hell of a lot better doing it than all of the garbage dual and audiobahn subs that my friends had.
So Like I said, I cant give a full review without the sub in front of me right now, but do a search, youll come up with plenty.
I say just do this because I think it will give you what youre looking for. No offense, but youre clearly not very experienced or knowledgeable with subwoofers at this point, so if you want something cheap, get a cvr, because they are a good decision for such a cheap sub. You will upgrade no matter what you get right now, so get the cheaper option of the two.
