Making a box for a 12

I want to make a perfect rectangular box for a 12 to go in my 1993 Mustang GT 5.0. Its got to be flat on the back and the front. What would I need and would it sound good?

You need MDF...and glue..

What kind of glue? Wouldn't I need 3M super 77 spray adhesive for the carpet?

Titebond II..and yes if you want to carpet thats a great glue

Any Titebond would work... the only difference in the numbers is water-proofness... but, if you can, II or III.

use gorilla glue. it expands as it dries so it ensures a good seal. not to mention it makes a bond that is stronger than the mdf itself. you need to use screws tho so you get some clamping pressure.
