Majestic Amp

I just hooked up that amp. Doesn't have a built in crossover and I don't have one lying around. It plays my 10" super blue 600w on high. Will it hurt it or should I buy the guys crossover?

WTF is a 10" super blue-Who TF makes that
What is 600w on high?
^lol

600w sub. and the amp is on high pass...

anyways it sounds great just don't want to blow a voice coil. I'll get the crossover for 10 bucks and I should be set. Thanks for the help.

It's just like a connecting terminal on the box. It just filters out the high pass that the amp is putting out and lets the low in.
Then that would be a low-pass crossover.

Take a look at the names.

Low-pass allows the lows to pass while attenuating the highs out at whatever slope the crossover is.

A high-pass crossover allows the highs to pass while barring the lower frequencies from getting through.

Methinks you've gotten your nomenclature mixed a bit...

I said a high pass filter meaning that it filters out the highs
I'm aware of what you said and you're still wrong.

A high-pass filter (if you had bothered to read what I posted above) does not filter out the highs.

IT ALLOWS THE HIGHS TO PASS THROUGH TO WHATEVER SPEAKERS IT IS PROCESSING FOR (hence the name "High Pass") while filtering out the lower frequencies.

My post (and your mistake) stands as stated.
