Magnet Size and What It Concerns...

I've personally witnessed sony explode subs "explode"...not recommended. try kicker comps or i know rockford fosgate sells at best buy. You can do much better on an amp for $300 too.

By the way, I have owned a Type E before in a 1.25 ft^3 sealed box. They really arent that bad when compared to a sony.

i put a scope on my 400W Ultra Linear amp and calculated up to 900W spike in power...this amp is a piece of shit believe me...if this thing can pull around 30A continuously for my listening pleasure, the Sony should be fine, remember that im going from a $40 msrp Amp to this Sony, that transition should be enough to make me happy...plus i dont have any doubts it will do 900W RMS, plus i already bought it for 159.99 cdn

I bet it has enough power in it to push a Type R 12 very nicely. You'll be happier with a decent single sub than 2 cheap ones. My R's doing great in 2 feet @ 32hz.

to the op, are you from windsor by some chance? so am i, if you wanna hear my car just let me know, yea there pretty much is nothing here... i bought all my stuff throught here pretty much and shipped it to my uncles girlfriend in detroit... welcome to the forums...

since magnet size was the topic in the first place, here is an example of a neo and a 4hp motor...same general motor gauss power, and even very similar top plate assembliles. You can clearly tell the neo "lightbulb" subwoofer.

wow lol, canada is a big place...and to be honest with you, i live just in belle river, 15 min drive from windsor...pretty good guess!...i suppose my question was answered with the magnet size and then the thread changed direction to what kind of sub/subs i shud buy...i want good quality and clear bass...i dont want to create more trunk rattle than i already have...i was told that the Sony subs did not create so much rattling because their bass was tighter...and i have noticed that in action too at best buy...compared to the JBLs they were nice and tight yet still created good quality bass...to my ears anyway
