maelstrom 18...!

does this have more xmax then your lms?

IIRC LMS 5400 has 32mm as well. Not sure how big the landing is on that basket but TC basket/suspension may allow for slightly more x-mech.

I'd be pretty happy to own either.

Someone posted a link to a 21" on Maine Craigslist a while ago. Dunno if that guy will take a BJ as payment though.

Either is weak compared to the lms ultra 5400........especially for their intended purpose of HT
not really. The 21 can displace more air than the LMS since the cone is bigger. The box will have to be alot bigger though. Plus the 5400's are ungodly expensive, unless space is a serious issue I'd use the Maelstrom. Both are going to give alot of ouptut an distortion far below audible levels.

oh i wasnt looking to buy. i was just saying if someone even just owns one i will give...

LMS 5400 has 38 mm of linear excursion, 48+ until you hit Xmech. LMS is better in nearly everyway, smaller boxes, less distortion, larger coils, larger power handling, flatter response, stronger motor....need I go on? lol
