forget about the type -r's and get something different that everybody and their brother doesent have . Besides dcons are made in the usa and sound great.

im looking at SSAs website right now.. whats a better SQ sub the DCON or the ICON?

From what i understand the icon is alittle better for sq. Dayton ho at parts express is also a usa made sub that is really good for sq. I have been trying to decide myself between the 2 wich to run. I had a alpine type-r 12" in a sealed box and it was ok, just not stellar. The ssa or the daytons would be better overall for sq than the alpine and get louder and cheaper and made here in the usa by people who care about sound.

man so many ideas lol wat to do, wat to do!? well i have a budget of about 1k.. so i think ima look into doing 3 tens, i just hope i have enough space for them to perform well

icons need more space.....go with 3 Sealed Dcons or 3 Seald Dayton HO's

Alpine is nice for clean sound but not for the pound. I got away from alpine just didn't do it for me anymore.

what alpines are u listening to?

the R's sound like asss they just get loud.....only the X sounds good

the two type Es i have now actually sound very good they just dont get loud enough.. if i could run my type Es at like 400-500 watts i wouldnt get rid of them.

i would love to do three ported 8s but everyone tells me not to go ported in a single cab truck.. they say u will hear the port noise way to much and it will annoy the shiz out of u

A lot of things sound good until you hear a better setup lol thats how it works

this is probably very true lol but im finding out that it is not an easy thing to get a single cab truck to sound good.. loud yea no problem but getting it to sound good is the tricky part. so being that i like how alpines sound i think my best bet would be to go with 3 10" type Rs.. but then again that could turn out sounding like ***.

They only sound good to you cause you don't know any better to know what truly good subs sound like.
