I've been out of the loop for awhile but I don't have any idea who makes recone kits anymore but I had someone with a blown Orion HCCA 15. He wants 20.00 for it so I'm wondering if I could get a recone kit from somewhere or if it's a 20.00 boat anchor. I did not buy it yet but can tomorrow.

Are there common recone kits available for these? Is there a company that could make me one? I am competent enough to do it myself. I also don't want to ship the monster.

the original hcca? if so yes fix my speaker can do that just by telling him you have a tc9 motor you need reconed.

and that motor is worth much much more than $20 so buy it even if you don't want it

Looks like it's mine for 25.00. Picking it up tomorrow.

I don't know what I'm gonna do with it after I recone it. No room in the truck. Car isn't on my priority for an upgrade. Maybe I could trade it. The basket is red, with 4 large spokes.

What type of power do they like? How about box specs?

can make it from 600rms to 2000rms sq to spl great all around motor. it can be turned into a 10-18" dosent have to stay a 15".
That would make a ****** 10. It still won't fit in the truck because of the depth (single cab) but it would fit the car. About how much does the extra basket cost? Is the 10" recone any cheaper than the 15?

Well I got it home. Any tricks on getting it unstuck? I've got the cone and suspension cut out. 3/4 of the coil is free, but there is one side that's stuck. I would just grab it and pull it out with pliers but I don't want to tear the coil and have it stuck in the gap where I can't get it out. Any ideas?
