Sorry, don't by it.

My hc2400 has been sitting in my room at 13.1v+ for a week now:confused:
Be careful with letting a battery lay around in a trunk like that.
the battery is actually mounted... ther is a plate underneath the amp behind the bad that holds it in place... and it sits in a dip in the spare tire well so it will not move from side to side

as for the voltage, i put this batt through hell, and im sure it was abused before i got it

ill try to charge it when i get my new alt it, if the votage stays where its at so be it

hasnt given me any problems yet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Oh sorry, I'm a Senior in Hs right now, The class that is my vocational is machine technology and trades. I can operate a Lathe, Horizontal and vertical mill, Same with the band saw.

I used to work in a machine shop but i was laid off With 10 other full time employee's because A job didn't come in.

So anymore questions let me know boomintahoe.

Also you stated my age Because I'm in this class it can allow me to bypass the law and go to work in a machine shop.

lakota why would ther ebe a problem with these being on there side??They are a sealed battery and can be mounted anyway.

As for the OP get that battery on a charger!!!!Your alt isn't ment to charge your battery just tend it.Sitting at 12.3 is killing your battery.

I didn't know that the battery was mounted. In the picture is looks like the battery is capable of sliding around. It would be bad for that positive terminal to stay in contact with the body of the car and ground out. My bad, I'm just trying to keep people out of trouble:)

Ok I know this is noob, can u take a pic of how the bar is connected to the battery? cus i dont see it >.
The terminals for Kinetik batteries have steel inserts. There's basically just a hole in the buss bar and it's bolted down to the battery terminal.

lol... batt went on a trickle charger last night soon to be back up at 12.9

Ok SOMEONE inserted that in there. I DID NOT say that. Another reason I don't come here much...too many ********.

Fear of thieves....you aren't a machinist. Going to a tech school and working for a little bit doesn't qualify you as a machinist. Unless you got 4+ years behind you and can operate, set-up, program any or a few CNC machines. I don't mean to be a prick but I find it very disturbing for someone who has ran a few machines in their life other than tech school and can just call themselves a machinist. But that's the way society is nowadays.

I've got 8 years behind me and still climbing. Name some machines you've ran in the past. I'll state what I've run: Komo w/ Fanuc controls, Cinncinati vertical and horizontal, and with Fanuc controls as well, Matsuura with Fanuc and Yasnac controls, both controls very similar, Robodrill w/ Fanuc controls, Cincinnati Sabre, Cincinnati Arrow, Mazak CNC turning, and various models of Fadals. Also manual machinery exp as well. Btw, if your looking for a job, consider the aerospace industry. Around my area, it's the hottest job market right now.
