what does amperage have to do with voltage?you are not going to get any more amperage out of an alt than what it was made to do wind wise and stator wise, voltage is just an industry standard that most regular cars are set at. then you have your 24v big truck alts. that are big amperage and voltage ... but more voltage doesnt mean more amperage....
