made my own voltage module

60 is cold to u guys poosays.... But interesting I have been considering doing something like this.

alt charges at 15.6v cold now 15.3 warm. going to change it up tomorrow so it charges at 15.3 cold and 15.0 warm

Is this a mod that you did so that your stock alt puts out that voltage?

Btw, wouldn't that blow all your cars electronics? Or is that when it gets above 16v....?
i read somewhere cant remember where its 22v when thing start shiitting. but 16v i think over 10 mins will trip a service light or 18v for over 2 mins. I think i read that in a repair manual:crazy:

 
Not to rain on your parade, as your discovery is very innovative, but wouldn't you significantly reduce the life of your alt. by doing this? The stock alt is rated @ a certain amperage and setting it to charge that high means it will be running round the clock in an effort to keep up. I think that would wear it out fairly quickly.

 
what does amperage have to do with voltage?

you are not going to get any more amperage out of an alt than what it was made to do wind wise and stator wise, voltage is just an industry standard that most regular cars are set at. then you have your 24v big truck alts. that are big amperage and voltage ... but more voltage doesnt mean more amperage....

it dropped down to high 30, low 40's last night and the night before and i kept my window open..... ah the lovely ohio spring haha
