Made in USA audio?

Just to set the record straight, audio products can still be made in the USA, and our speakers (3.5, 4, 5.25, 6.5, 8, 10) are ALL designed in house by us and assembled, made, produced in the USA. Our tweeters are a revison of a tweeter produced by LPG in Germany which has changes, that we have decided, to the dome and ferro-fluid. No, the tweeter is the only speaker not assembled in the USA, not many, if any, at least quality tweeters are built in the USA or Asia. Europe is the source for high grade tweeters.

Our amplifiers are designed, engineered, build and assembled (however you want to say it) in house by hand in the USA by us. We have NO Asian speakers or amplifiers. We do not hide behind word games to cover up where our products come from; like some companys that will miss-lead you by putting made in the USA on the BOX and not the equipment, or live off of a original US made name brand that is now owned by a conglomerate that has everything produced in China. I will let Linear Power and Blues die a quiet death before it ever gets sold to a company that will destroy the quality and intergrity of the product and name by representing it as a US company and have it all built in the same plant in China as almost every other product is in car audio.

The important fact.. Just cause something is US made does not always make it good. A good product is just that. No matter where its made.

"Made in the USA" doesn't even mean quality anymore. There are plenty of offshore equipment that does and always will do better than American made.

If American consumers were not so greedy, they would still have jobs and good quality homeland made products.

While I know what you are referring to, to boil down the loss of manufacturing in this country to greedy American consumers is simply a gross over generalization of the situation. It makes for a good one-liner though, I suppose. Blaming greedy, fat, lazy, slobby, inefficient Americans is the popular thing to do these days, for everything, but it rarely makes for legit reasoning. This case is no exception.

LP makes their own circuit boards (or has made in the US)? Resistors, capacitors, potentiometers, etc? They make their own extruded aluminum for heatsinks? They make (or have made) their own speaker frames here in the US? The ferrite slugs? All softparts are made in USA? You get all raw materials for your parts from US suppliers?

Im not asking to be sarcastic, Id really like to know. I suspect I already know, but Id like to hear you say it.

I'm sure Ray will chime in here soon ...
