time correction

I have a CDA-105 head unit and Polk MM651 speakers in the front. I am pretty darn happy with the sound but it could still use a little tweaking. I plan on aiming the speakers a bit and am considering doing some time correction.

I noticed that it sounds more balanced if I put my head towards the center of the car. I am assuming this could be fixed with time correction. If this would fix it what would be the best way to do it? A new head unit, some sort of processor or equalizer? It's Christmas and I still need to buy myself something.
