Bass boosted songs?

Hey guys,

so i know using the EQ and bass boosting...

but i have a few questions

A. Are bass boosted songs okay? from youtube i see a lot of dubstep " BASS BOOSTED " etc...

B. EQ on the ipod, you can set to bass boost, im guessing this is bad?

C. IMO bass boost on the amp and Hu is bad

It's typically frowned upon, but also depends on what equipment you have and how you set your gain(s).

Oh, and bass boost is bass boost. It's all doing the same thing.

A ton of songs on youtube that are boosted are done improperly and have tons of clipping. I have a ton of songs I've boosted and remixed but they were done so there wouldn't be any clipping.

Expanding on this, a lot of newer music does the same thing. People don't care about proper mastering anymore -- they care about the dBz.

lol, well i download full albums via torrent from someone who bought it off of itunes, and then individual songs i use an HD youtube to mp3
