How about some people guy the SPL-12 first. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
he can donate 4 ....to me.. I have a jeep with plenty of room.. now if someone else to donate me the amps to run them :/.. ignoring the fact about them being 12s //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gifAnd on a separate note, what Mark could really use is someone that puts 4+ SPL12's in their vehicle. People are drawn to the subs used in these crazy multi-sub installs and will buy them like hot cakes...get a customer with a vehicle like that, post a few vids, and you'll get tons of fanfare, even if it isn't the loudest.
I've done a *lot* of donating over the last couple of years. Unfortunately, it is not something I can continue to do on an on-going basis.he can donate 4 ....to me.. On the prototype I did a 144.1 followed up by a 143.7 in a flimsy box with less then 2500 watts on a tiny battery. The production model can take more power and can get louder.i have to admit, there needs to be more testing done by people with the ability to test drivers head to head on a TL.
If i had the money i would do a
dp12
hdc12
btl12
spl12
these seem to be the bang for the buck woofers (not so much the DP, at least based on SSA pricing) that people are using for power around 3kw. when i see the spl12 over on SSA in its test thread hitting only 139.9 on the tl im a bit turned off.
but when you look into the testing that was done, the amp couldnt give full power due to a circuit breaker popping, the tuning was miscalculated, and it was in a bonneville which supposedly wont throw up good numbers anyways.
there pretty much needs to be a head to head competition done by a forum regular to show that the sub can keep up with the forum boners. the testing in the bonneville alone turned me off from buying the driver in the future (even though i fully knew there was a huge array of issues surrounding its testing)
that is something that should be easy to find on the Mach 5 forum IMHO. only thing ive found was the initial test and that turned me off despite knowing all the issues with the setup. is that info posted in the test thread as well?On the prototype I did a 144.1 followed up by a 143.7 in a flimsy box with less then 2500 watts on a tiny battery. There is one person who may be using 10-12 of them in a van build. But as Neil mentioned, it is still winter up here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
You wouldn't buy one anyway, so what difference does it make?that is something that should be easy to find on the Mach 5 forum IMHO. only thing ive found was the initial test and that turned me off despite knowing all the issues with the setup. is that info posted in the test thread as well?
I know you were joking around. But at the same time, I'm sure you wouldn't turn 4 units away if they mysteriously showed up at your doorstep. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gifI never was serious in my statement nor did I expect you to even read it or point any interest enough on it to comment..lol
