2 HK15X2's (15") vs. 2 L7's (15")

need to be 2 ohm..powered by earthquake ph5000d. Conservative gains so lets say 1000rms each. I want major spl but not sound like shit in doing so..i can do a 10 ish cu ft. box. i was aiming for around 35Hz..

I would go with a different sub setup all together....... maybe FI Q's or RE sx's or Mt's or AA Avalanches theres a million subs out there that will get just as loud or louder and sound just as good if not better than those subs

unless you are planning on giving the MA's 1500-2000 RMS I would recommend the kickers. If you can give the MA's the wattage they need then I would suggest them.

OK so they general consensus is to go with the L7's....will it be a significant loss over my DMX? and ill take suggesttions on any subs that meet my criteria

Ur doubling the surface area so if anything it will and should be louder.

I would personally take the kickers cuz I know that I could get them loud,I have not heard the particular MA sub,but I have yet to the day hear a Ma audio sub that had anything close to "SQ".And I like the sound of Kicker subs, also just take a look at Kicker awards and what not for sq

Also take a look at Aqs sd2.5 and FI audios BL great bang for the buck subs.

LAWL sorry but i do have to say this.... ID TAKE EITHER CUZ THEY ARE BOTH IN THE WHOLESALE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ya ok helpful.....anyways..im going to have 2 subs...so either 2 15"s or 2 18"s. under $500 for the pair..i can get wholesale prices on SOME subs tho. need to be able to wire to 2 ohm and get loud off about 800-1250rms each. i know thats a wide range but i gotta see how much the alt wil take before i get a new one

ok ok. since i have best friends that have both, go with the ma audios. both of them have their boxes built to specs and the ma out performs the kicker hands down. not to mention they were using the same setup. one vehicle just placed the subs in to see what would do best.
