Lower db on more power.

I metered on my 1150 rms amp and got 144.3 db at 38 hz Dropped a 3k rms in and could only get 140.5 db at 42hz mic in the center of the windshield nothing changed other than the amp. Voltage never dropping under 12.8v

Whats going on here? I did notice the sub is stretching the surround pretty good on the 3k.

Why meter at two different frequncies?

just were it peaked at each time. It gained a .1 at 42 over 38

Sonething is wrong ? what 2 amps ? how were the gains set?

Gains set with dd1 amps Mmats 1600.1 Soundstream TA3000.1 It was a night and day difference when switching to the 3k it seems louder and will do 140 easily on music but can't get anymore out of it burping.
