Low mp3 volume Jensen VM8022

Hope this is an ok forum to post this in.

Just got a Jensen VM8022 - ripped some CD albums and encoded as mp3. I then burned them to CD - when I play them on the unit, the volume is much lower than the volume of the radio (or of an original CD)- it sounds fine though, as long as I turn it up quite a ways.

If I take the same CD and put it in my computer, the mp3 volume is the same as that of the original. Was wondering if anyone else had heard of this?

And if this isn't where this belongs, if you could direct me to the correct location...

prolly should go in Head Unit thread... But yeah, I have the 9312 and it is the same way! do you have a system hooked up? im guessing not... so im almost positive you will be very dissapointed when you do install sub/amp.. My SX's on 2000watts sounded horrible.. it was not loud no real presence at all.. I had to but and eq/linedriver to get it how I want.. sort of an extra hassle for good noise

Thanks for the info - if someone wants to move this thread to the head units forum, I'd be fine with that.

Rip, do the mp3's sound fine as long as you turn up the volume? They seem fine on mine, I just don't like that discrepancy.
