I was reading some old threads about good amps for the 12w7. I saw a lot of people commenting that the slash 1000 was a current hog and that the PDX1.1000 was simply overrated. This lead me to wonder what amps out there draw less current and still provide close to 1000 at 3 ohms? What properties indicate a low current draw amp?

I found some other amps that would be close in power output, but have never used them to know how current draw would be. Such as

Arc Audio KS 1000.1

Zapco Reference REF1100.1

Eclipse ZA1200

Boston Acoustics GT-28

Clarion DPX11551

JBL GTO1201.1

Any info you have would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a ton!
