Low charging voltage

Can a low charging voltage cause your batteries to sit at a lower voltage? I charge at about 13.8 and my batcap 3k and 3 2k's all hooked up together sit at 12.7-12.8. That doesn't seem right to me, but idk.

you need to be charging at 14.4-14.9

I know I do but stock POS alt doesn't charge that high. Waiting on funds. I want to charge just below 15v.

No matter what. If car isn't running. after a few minutes battery resting voltage should be 12.5 to 12.8. That is if they ate 12v batteries

Ya they are at 12.7 right when the car is off then after they sit for a while it goes up to 12.8. I think that has to do that there are still certain things drawing from the battery.
