I'm looking for 2 12'' subs, but i'm on a budget. Which of the following subs would you guys recomend?

Infinity 1230W- 300wrms

Alpine type E - 250wrms

Kenwood Kfc-3009- 400wrms

Kicker Comp c12- 150wrms

I'm looking for some thing with sound quality and that will make my car shake some untill i can up grade to a really good system

if you wait a couple weeks, there is a HUGE sale going to happen on the Kicker Comps. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The infinity 1230's can get quite loud as hell if you get the right amp, and box, and you can be heard far away. They are deffinately worth every penny. Last year I sold some to my friend, and we picked up an 4 cubic foot ported box tunned at 30 hertz for both 12s, and I suggested he pick up the memphis 500d amp, and it was loud as hell in his jeep. We were both suprised how loud it got with an 500watt amp to it.

Infinity’s all the way. I just hooked up a ‘10 Infinity in a Q-logic box and it really thumps my truck’s cab. I am very impressed. I’m also running a Profile CA400M amp and so for it’s been great. Hasn’t got hot yet!

Ok so infinity seems to be wroking for some of you guys. I have a dual seald box with 1cub inches per chamber. will that work for some infinitys? I was also wanting to get a Profile CAlifornia amp or should i get an alpine?

1 cubic foot per sub is good for sealed. As for amps I would get a nice quality amp, so alpine seems to be good. The infinitys can certainly handle much more than they are rated, especially since they are in a sealed box too. Ide make sure to atleast give them 300 a piece to do the subs justice in that sealed box. Although they could handle 500 no sweat in that box.

sweet i found some for 50 bucks a piece at ebay. Are the infinitys more of a sq sub or loud? I have also heard that they only work well with a "clean" power amp?

They are more geared towards sq, but they can get real loud. They are extreemly efficent, so it doesnt take much power to make them loud. Any sub will perform better off clean power, so ide suggest you get a good quality amp to push them.
