Loudness and the gain knob

I was setting my gains yesterday and was looking at the different readings with loudness on/off, bassboost on/off etc. The one I have a question about is that with loudness on and the knob all the way down with about half volume, why does my T10001bd read 55.# volts when it reads like 2 volts with loudness off? Does loudness means 'automatic clip' because using the equation of Volts=root(Power*ohm), 55 volts = 3025 watts... from a 1000 watt amp. What?

Loudness is about a 12dB boost on the bass. That will cause clipping if not accounted for when setting the gains.

Chances are almost certain that the amp cannot maintain that 55V with a 1 ohm load on the output.
