Here are my options as to what I can fit..

4 SA 8s in a 4th order

or

3 10s (probably SA's) in a normal ported box

or

2 12s (no idea what sub) in a normal ported box

No matter which setup I go, it will for sure be on a Sundown saz 3000d. So.. which setup will be the loudest?

when you say normal do you mean prefab? With that amp any of those setups can come to life in the right box, likely custom, and raise some hell.
Ill edit it. I mean normal as in vented.. of course custom built, Im done with prefab stuff. Im going to have to build the box in my trunk so thats not even an option.

I bet you wont hear a ton of difference... Just pick one man...
OK I understand the "Just pick one man.." part because I tell myself that all the time.

But your saying that you think all 3 of these setups are going to be just as loud as one another? I feel like I need something more "efficient" in lack of a better word, and its not these 8s as far as I can tell. They sound great, but with bigger woofers, dont you move more air with less power?

Im leaning towards the 3 10s since I wouldnt have to mess with a 4th order box.. ofc 2 12s gives me the same cone area, and 4 8s is only 26sq in behind.

Just wanting opinions.. I wish I could hear more setups locally. All I have to go off is what Ive heard in my own setups, which has been these sa 8s, and my old kenwoods in a sealed box. Not much to go off of.

Well with all of those setups your adding a woofer... If you where saying 2 12's, 2 10's, 2 8's then yes you have more cone area with the 12's but with those options you have almost the same cone area in each... There is gunna be a difference but not by much...

all the same really just go with the 4 8's. 3 subs have awkward wiring and ohm loads.
Im running 3 D4 sa 8s now. .8 ohm load (measured) with everything in parallel. Yes it does give you funky ohm loads and its a pain to wire.. that would for sure be the cheapest option, I would only have to buy a recone kit for my spare 8, build the box.. and Id be good to go. Still considering that as an option.

to many factors to truely say which is "better"
I know, every vehicle is different. I have a 240sx. Its a 2 door trunk car with a tiny trunk and an even smaller opening into the cabin.

If I do the 4th order, I would do aero ports through my rear deck.

Application and desired results make a large impact on which would perform better.

In most cases even if plotted correctly there is no way to know 100% for sure which will perform "best" to your liking with out testing them all out.
