To the OP, some how, everybody missed something... you keep acting like RMS determines how loud a subwoofer will get. For a mainstream reference, an Alpine Type-R is 500 RMS, but it gets just as loud as an Alpine Type-X at 1000 RMS. The difference primarily is the Type-X will blow the Type-R out of the water in terms of sound quality. Pay attention to cone area as well.

from what i read your 4000w amp is good for somewhere between 1700-2000 in reality. your 4g wire isn't going to cut it, and you should probably stick with 1 hi-powered 15. HDC3 15 for instance or dc level 4xl

all of those aq,dc,fi,ect brands just listed ...all the competition subs are like 400 bucks

and when i search i got no results for other dealers

i know thats why i was thinking 1 2000wrms sub

but ill change the amp if it isnt cutting it

and my subs are running at 4 ohm load and there 500rms each(1000)total

anyhow

i just want to be as loud as 4 15s

i fell like 4 15s is not needed thats why im seeking advice
